Connected mobile devices now exceeds the number of people on earth.
Mobile devices, particularly smartphones, are rapidly become the primary way we seek information, engage with each other and make decisions. Our whole experience of the internet is changing and will be forever “on the go”. As a result m-commerce is growing at more than twice desk-top based commerce.
Today’s connected shoppers expect more from brands they love. Mobile has impacted the way we research and decide EVERYTHING, particularly purchase decisions.
While the rise of Mobile Commerce is astounding and expected to grow at 40% y.o.y until 2018 – fuelling total growth in ecommerce at 16%, there is now a much larger role that mobile now plays in driving in-store purchases.
More than 28% of in-store purchase decisions are influenced by mobile* and 79% of connected shoppers who research purchase decisions do so using their device in-store^.
